Isn’t a bite also a touch?

Artist Statement:
Intimacy is everywhere around us and is inherently violent. I use my body as a medium to explore and express this raw connection. Whether through moving images or stills, I seek out fragments of intimacy in public spaces or the closest bits of it around me. I believe the most compelling stories are those drawn from our own lived experiences. Intense emotional experiences, act as catalysts for meaningful art because an artist is not just someone who creates but someone who experiences feelings to their extreme. These profound emotions serve as a foundation for my creative process, making art essential for my personal freedom and renewal. There is eroticism in the extremes of life, and I aim to capture this profound connection. As an Arab woman, I work with vulnerability as a powerful tool, challenging the notion that it signifies weakness and shame. Instead, I embrace vulnerability as a source of strength and authenticity. Through my art, I delve into the exploration of complex human emotions and the human body, revealing the delicate yet fierce nature of intimacy and the human experience.
