Harout Fazlian left Lebanon to Montréal at the age of 12, came back 20 years later as the Principal Conductor of the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra and is known for his passionate and fiery conducting style and is the recipient of the Officer’s Medal in the Arts from the Republic of France for playing an essential role in rejuvenating and popularizing classical music and for being one of the pioneers in the fusion of different genres of music. “One has to make sacrifices for his Art but never compromise”

في عامه الثاني عشر سافر هاروت فازليان من لبنان متوجّهًا إلى مونتريال، ليعود بعد عشرين سنة قائدًا رئيسيًّا للأوركسترا الفلهارمونيّة اللّبنانيّة. يُعرف فازليان بأسلوبه النّاريّ المتّقد في قيادة الأوركسترا، هو الحائز على وسام الفنون من رتبة ضابط من الجمهوريّة الفرنسيّة للدّور الأساسيّ الذي لعبه في تجديد الموسيقى الكلاسيكيّة ونشْرِها بالإضافة إلى كونه واحدًا من روّاد الدّمج بين أنواع مختلفة من الموسيقى. “على المرء أن يضحّي في سبيل فنّه دون أيّ مساومة”.
