Actress since 1982, graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Lebanese University- Theatre Section; graduate of USEK – Master in fine Arts, she is currently a theatre professor at the Lebanese University. She is also the Director of “Beirut Spring Festival” organized by the Samir Kassir Foundation, since 2009. She played many leading roles under the direction of the most famous theatre directors in the Arab world. Her latest work on stage was “Augures” which toured in Lebanon, France and Belgium (2021, 2022 and 2023). Her motto in life: Art is the way to elevate pain and transform it creatively. رندا أسمر ممثّلة منذ العام 1982، خرّيجة كلّيّة الفنون الجميلة في الجامعة اللّبنانيّة – فرع المسرح؛ خرّيجة جامعة الرّوح القدس، الكسليك – ماجستير في الفنون الجميلة، تدرّس حاليًّا مادّة المسرح في الجامعة اللّبنانيّة كما تدير منذ العام 2009 “مهرجان ربيع بيروت” الذي تنظّمه مؤسّسة سمير قصير. لعبت العديد من الأدوار الرّئيسيّة في أعمال لأشهر المخرجين المسرحيّين في العالم العربيّ. “لعلّ وعسى” لكريستال خضر، عملها المسرحيّ الأخير الذي عُرض في لبنان وفرنسا وبلجيكا (2021, 2022, 2023). شعارها في الحياة: “الفنّ وسيلة لتحويل الألم إلى إبداع”.
