Nicolas Daniel, an actor, director, and university professor, born in Maghdoucheh in 1945. For over thirty years, he taught the art of acting at the Institute of Fine Arts. He actively contributed to the flourishing theater scene before the outbreak of the Lebanese civil war and remained engaged in the field throughout and after the conflict, both as a director and an actor. He is well-known in Lebanese and Arab drama for his portrayal of a wide range of unique and memorable characters on screen. He holds dear the nostalgic memories from the era of Beirut’s pre-war theaters and stages and continues to nurture the dream of establishing a Lebanese national theater troupe, uniting the country’s elite and talented artists.

نقولا دانيال ممثّل ومخرج وأستاذ جامعي، وُلد في مغدوشة سنة 1945. درّس فنّ التمثيل في معهد الفنون الجميلة لأكثر من ثلاثين سنة. شارك في النهضة المسرحية قبل الحرب اللبنانية واستمرّ في نشاطه أثناءها وبعدها إخراجاً وتمثيلاً. عُرف على الشاشة في الدراما اللبنانية والعربية باختياره لأدوارٍ منوّعة ومميّزة. يشدّه الحنين إلى مسارح بيروت ما قبل الحرب ومطارحها، وكان وما يزال يحلم بقيام فرقةٍ مسرحية وطنية لبنانية تضمّ النخب والموهوبين من الفنانين اللبنانيين.
