A prominent Lebanese vocalist, Hawat was a part of the first generation of Lebanese radio singers. She was influenced by Oum Koulthoum in her golden years and was a true star of “tarab” singing. When she became a mother, Hawat retired from music to focus on her new commitment to motherhood. She never stopped spreading her artistic message and made a few live performances after that.
